During my shopping excursion last weekend, I stumbled upon this little black dress in the sale section of Urban Outfitters for only $29.99! Can you say jackpot? I immediately styled it in my head on the way to the fitting room, because I've got to have some sort of vision for an item before I just go spending my money on it. I am pretty pleased with the outcome!
It's a shirtdress, so it doesn't fit tight at all. In fact, its hugs similar to a man's oversized dress shirt, but has perfect length. I actually went up one size. It literally flows in the wind, and features two little pockets on the front. See, it's all in the details. I folded the sleeves up 3/4 to give to a little more character, and stuck to color scheme by stepping into a pair of black, chunky lace-ups.
What better way to make a bold statement while wearing all black, than a red lip? Ruby Woo by MAC was my lipstick of choice, and is quickly becoming one of my favorites, might I add. I kept accessories very minimal, with just a pair of gold studs and a few midi-rings, also gold. I grabbed my black handbag, teased my fro', and was good to go!
