Let's get into the first trend highlighted in Spring Fresh, gingham print. It's so playful and chic, literally one of the most darling prints ever! Most people think of picnics when they think about this print, but it's one of the hottest trends for spring. Stores like Zara and H & M currently have full collections, featuring tops, skirts, dresses, pants, and more in this print. A gal sportin' gingham has good taste! I always dream of wearing skirts, but I never do. This year I decided that I would step my style game up and wear a bit of everything, so this mini-skirt was right on time. What drew me to initially was its asymmetric cut, and the ruffles. They're are so sassy to me, and are another super cute spring trend. Ruffles and gingham? I absolutely had to have this piece.
Black sandals with a chunky heel finished this look off right, and I loveeeee ankle straps. With these shoes, I have the option of keeping the lace low with the bow in the front or back when I want to be simple and cute, or I can take the laces up high, about mid-calf, for a sexier look.

I wanted most of the focus on the skirt, so I kept things simple with a black top. Honestly less is more, and I think I've mastered the art of being minimally extra. It's a gift!
Let's talk sleeves. I know I'm highlighting gingham print in this post, but it just so happens that another trend is featured as well. Spring knits with sassy sleeves! The top I'm wearing here definitely has a bit of sass. Bell sleeves are to die for! They're very fashionable and give movement to your outfit. I love that the sleeves on this top are quarter-lenght, so all the drama right falls right over my elbow.
